I am
so laughing at the person who thought Jeffrey and Cassie were "fresh".
That pairing is a congealed mass of leftovers that turns off the appetite
every time it's served on the viewer's plates! Instead of letting the
flavorless lump that is Jassie sit heavy in our stomachs, GL should wipe
our palates clean by focusing on the couple who truly appeals to a variety
of tastes... the alternately sweet and spicy Cadmund, whose recipe has
been in the works for a very long time and has almost reached perfection.
Dash in a few more kisses and fold in more discussions of the past, and
Cadmund would be golden! Not only would it satisfy the audience's cravings,
it would keep them coming back for seconds and thirds! I've read online where people think Cassie is some kind of pod person
for becoming involved with Edmund, but those people are narrow minded
and short sighted. Cassie has gone through some earth shattering changes
in the past year -the death of her husband caused by the betrayal of her
sister- the kind that really make someone reevaluate who you are, what
you believe and make someone discover what they are capable of in terms
of forgiveness and relationships with others. In a cosmic way, it is poetic
that the man who caused so much pain in her past is now bending over backwards
to make her so happy. This is a good story for a soap opera and I hope
the writers continue with it rather than force us to watch what would
be a very ordinary story between that crude D.A. guy and Cassie. Not since Roger Thorpe
have I enjoyed such a complex character like Edmund Winslow. Quite simply,
Edmund is captivating. He has depth and layers that keep the the audience
wondering what he's going to do next. This new vulnerability he has in
his love for Cassie has me breathless with anticipation of how her eventual
reaction will affect him. Thank you for finally giving him a story that
shows how intriguing he is. |

Many
thanks to the writers for giving us such a fun and potentially perilous
couple like Edmund and Cassie. This story is exciting, if moving a bit
slowly for my taste, and I hope the writers are leading us toward scenes
where Cassie and Edmund discuss their tortured past. You can tell that
LW and DAM are having a grand time working together in this storyline,
it really shows in the little things they bring to every scene. These
characters have enough internal issues to cause strife in their budding
relationship to make for an arresting story -- they don't need outside
interference in any way. In fact, throwing other parties into their story
would only dilute the powerful possibilities that exist with this pairing! Cadmund really works,
and stories like theirs are exactly why people watch soaps! This story
has it all: bad boy/good girl; opposites attract; internal conflict; external
conflict; scarred personalities; possible redemption; not to mention laughter
and just plain burning chemistry! This story breathed new life into the
show for me, and now I cannot wait to get home and watch my tape of the
days when they are on---which should be more often by the way. I hope
the writers continue to do it the justice that the actors bring to it.
It is pure pleasure to watch Ms. Wright and Mr. Macdonald work together
so magically. Cassie and Edmund totally rule GL for me these days! I haven't been this happy about a couple since the early days of Manny (before the show ruined them). I wait anxiously every day until the daily recaps are posted so I can see if Cadmund is on that day. The actors are so good at making this match fun to watch. Please show more of them every week! I think there is a lot of story to tell with these two. Please, please start showing some more Cadmund scenes soon. They have been sorely missed by many. They are the best part of GL these days, and I have not watched a full episode since they've been gone. No one else has their sparkle, their arresting presence, the something that attracts me to the screen and keeps me there, watching. I will be very disappointed if the writers decide to abandon this wonderful romantic story line, and based on what I've seen online, Cadmund has a fan base growing at an explosive rate that will agree with me! I'm going to make it easy for the writers: Cassie & Edmund: FASCINATING. Cassie & Jeffrey: YAWN. Creating Rassie2 would be a huge mistake. They have no attraction or chemistry together, especially contrasted with Cassie & Edmund. Next to "Cadmund", Jeffrey holds no appeal whatsoever. Stick with this developing romance between C&E... it is exciting and fresh, and the two actors are doing splendid jobs. David A. Macdonald should win an Emmy for his work this past year!
